East Haven Rotary Honors Students Of The Month
East Haven High School juniors Cristofher Torres and Domenic Plano were invited to dinner and presented with certificates and $100 checks.

EAST HAVEN, CT —Recently, the East Haven Rotary Club honored their January and February Student of the Month recipients, Cristofher Torres and Domenic Plano. The honorees juniors at East Haven High School.
Torres was nominated by the school's technology department where, in tech classes, he's completed an L-shaped computer workstation and a doghouse. Torres is the school's Junior Soccer captain. Though currently unsure of his future plans, he would like whatever career path he chooses to be one that is “hands on."
Plano was nominated by the school's physical education department. He is a member of the Media Club and also has played for the school's golf and football teams. Plano would like to study finance, with the goal of becoming a CPA or a real estate agent.

Each month, the Rotary recognizes a student from East Haven High School's junior class. The student is invited to attend a Thursday night dinner meeting at the Twin Pines Diner Restaurant and is presented with a certificate and a check for $100. Winners then become eligible for the $1,000 Jack Leary Memorial scholarship to be awarded at the end of their senior year.
Organized in March 1939, the East Haven Rotary Club is celebrating its 83rd year.
