East Haven Schools Are Days Away From A Full, In-Person Reopening
It's been reported East Haven schools will open with a hybrid model, but the district has opted for a full, in-person Sept. 1 reopening.

EAST HAVEN, CT — As many neighboring school districts have opted for a hybrid model, with some still looking at a fully remote learning model, East Haven Public Schools, after parents had their say, will fully reopen doors for full-time, 5 days-a-week in-person class instruction.
On Sept. 1, with myriad mitigation measures in place including social distancing, hand-washing and mask-wearing, busses will roll and classes will begin.
That said, parents do have the choice to opt-out and do distance learning instead. Read more here.

The district "will also be prepared to adjust and respond to the varying health needs of our community and staff by transitioning into hybrid or full distance learning ...based on the spread of the virus and input from local and state health officials."
Given the current coronavirus minimal spread condition in Connecticut, school officials said,
"this model includes bringing back all students and staff to our schools every day with required health and safety protocols in place. The district will have remote learning plans in place to support families who do not physically send students back to school under this model."
