East Haven Town Council Member Suspends State Rep Campaign

A complaint was filed regarding allegations of duplicate ballots filed.

EAST HAVEN, CT—Town Council member Vincent Spaduzzi suspended his campaign for state representative amid an investigation into a duplicate ballot.

Spaduzzi was running in the 99th district race against Democrat incumbent James Albis, according to Zip 06.

After last year's election the New Britain Democratic registrar of voters filed a complaint that Nicholas Zukunft voted in person in the city and cast an absentee ballot in East Haven.

A witness reported that Spaduzzi asked her to hand deliver Zukunft's absentee ballot because there wasn't enough time to mail ballots.
