East Haven Would Lose Big Under Malloy's Budget Proposal

East Haven would have its state aid cut under plan submitted Monday by Malloy.

EAST HAVEN - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.

Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.

For East Haven, it would be a 10 percent cut from the previously approved $21.44 million total - to $21.19 million.
