Eastern Student Anthony Coss of East Haven Presents Research at Northeast Regional COPLAC Conference
WILLIMANTIC, CT -- Eleven students from Eastern Connecticut State University presented the results of their undergraduate research at the Northeast Regional Research Conference of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC).
Eastern was one of eight colleges to participate in the symposium, which was held at the State University of New York (SUNY) in Geneseo on Oct. 12-13.

Anthony Coss '19 of East Haven, who majors in Mathematics, presented a research project titled "Serving the Average Secondary Student: Examining What Motivates Students to Learn and How Classroom Factors Affect Their Motivation."
The COPLAC conference is an opportunity for students spanning all disciplines to present creative works or results regarding their undergraduate work. It is an opportunity for students to meet with peers and faculty members to discuss their research beyond the traditional classroom setting.

COPLAC is a consortium of 30 public liberal arts colleges and universities spanning 28 states and one Canadian province. Established in 1987, it serves to promote the value of a public liberal arts education.
