An evening of holiday fun featuring guests from the North Pole is planned for Saturday, Dec 3 sponsored by the Gr. New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee, at the Irish American Community Center, 9 Venice Place, East Haven. There will be a reading of the Caldecott award-winning book, The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg, and the movie starring Tom Hanks.

There will be crafts, activities, door prizes, raffles, hot chocolate, and treats for all ages. In the spirit of the Polar Express, guests are encouraged to dress in their pajamas and bring a blanket and pillow for viewing the movie.

Bring an unwrapped toy and receive $1 off every ticket in your group's party. All toys will be donated to the New Haven division of “Toys for Tots.” Tickets will be available at the door, however, reservations are strongly recommended.
