Cheerleading Competition at East Haven High

The Southern Connecticut Conference will host its seventh cheerleading competition on Saturday at East Haven High School.

Warm-ups start at 9 a.m., and the competition will follow at 10:45 a.m.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 or students and senior citizens. Children under six will be admitted free.

Sixteen SCC schools are scheduled to participate in the competition in three divisions: exhibition, co-ed and all-girl. Schools scheduled to compete include: Branford (all-girl and exhibition), Career (exhibition), Cheshire (all-girl), Daniel Hand (all-girl), East Haven (all-girl), Foran (all-girl), Hamden (all-girl), Hillhouse (all-girl), Lyman Hall (all-girl), Mercy (all-girl), North Haven (all-girl), Sacred Heart Academy (all-girl), Sheehan (all-girl), Shelton (co-ed), West Haven (all-girl) and Wilbur Cross (all-girl).
