
This sail is part of the New Haven Museum's month-long celebration of the city's sailing tradition.
Experience the New Haven Harbor, 19th-century style, on a family-friendly sail.
Station 1: Learn the basics of navigation. The crew will demonstrate how to use charts and navigational tools.
Station 2:Learn some knots. Practice tying knots traditionally used for boating.
Station 3: Help raise sails. Be part of the crew as 2,500 square feet of sail is set using 19th century methods.
Station 4: Touch Tank. Marine animals from the Long Island Sound will be available for guests to see and touch.
Please note that the sail is best for children OVER 5 years old.
