The 5K race/walk course will be certified and start at Branford's Walsh Intermediate School. The course will run through Branford's beautiful Pine Orchard section.
The race raises money for the new Soundview Family YMCA and the Branford Rotary Foundation.
The new Soundview Family YMCA's 50,000 square foot facility includes two large indoor swimming pools, state of the art exercise areas, computer rooms and a teen center. Construction on the first phase of the YMCA is complete. It will service the towns of Branford, North Branford, East Haven, Guilford, and Madison.
