Fatal East Haven Overdose Leads to Criminal Charges

A New Haven man was charged after he provided drugs to a victim shortly before her death, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

EAST HAVEN, CT — A New Haven man was charged with distributing heroin following an overdose death in East Haven May 5.

A 27-year-old woman was killed after taking a fatal drug overdose, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office. It was determined that Devell Conley, 31, had provided drugs to the victim before her death.

Conley was charged with intent to distribute, and distribution of heroin and fentanyl, an offense that carries a maximum term of imprisonment of 20 years.
