First Week Back After Holidays, 14 Cases In East Haven Schools
Ten East Haven students and four educators tested positive for COVID-19 in the first week back to school following the holiday break.
EAST HAVEN, CT — The East Shore District Health director warned that cases would spike after the holidays. According to the East Haven schools COVID-19 tracker, at the end of the week of Jan. 4, 10 students and four educators tested positive for the coronavirus.
The latest positive cases reflect a near 4 percent infection rate among students. It is not clear what the infection rate is for teachers as the district does not provide that information on its tracker.
To date, there have been a total of 125 students and staff have tested positive; 42 staff and 83 kids.
