Flooding Closes Roadways, Steer Clear Of Coe, Short Beach: EHPD

Extensive and dangerous flooding has closed roads with police advising folks avoid driving if possible.

EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven police are asking motorists to avoid the area of Coe Avenue / Short Beach road due to extensive flooding at that intersection.

The road is currently closed and impassible, police said. “Please seek an alternate route if you have to get south of Short Beach Road.”

Police said they’ll provide an update “once the flooding subsides.”
