Flowers by Lisa Owner Doesn't Let Fire Keep Her Out of Business

When Lisa Piasecki’s flower show, Flowers by Lisa on Hemingway Avenue, sustained significant damage in a fire last week, she didn’t give up.

In fact, just days later Piasecki is already back up and running in a warehouse next door at 33 Hemingway Avenue, the New Haven Register reports.

Officials have told her it will take about one month to repair the damage as a result of the fire, which was caused by a gas leak.

Immediately, after the fire Piasecki was stunned by the timing as Mother’s Day is one of the most important holidays for her business, but she wouldn’t give up.
