Flu Clinic Scheduled For East Haven

From ESDHD: As the influenza season nears its peak, the East Shore District Health Department will be coordinating another flu clinic in the coming week. On Saturday, February 3rd, between 10am and NOON. This clinic will be held at the East Haven Senior Center, 91 Taylor Ave, East Haven, CT. ESDHD serves the town of Branford, North Branford and East Haven. ESDHD invites all community members to come to 91 Taylor Ave, East Haven and receive a flu vaccination.

The clinic will be staffed by our dynamic health department nurses and staff.

With all of the talk of serious and deadly diseases that have flooded the media in the last month, it is more important than ever that we are able to provide residents along the shoreline as many opportunities to receive the flu vaccine.

• Vaccinations will be provided by Connecticut State licensed nurses.
• Vaccinations are FREE for children up to 18.
• Vaccinations are $20.00 without insurance for anyone 18 and older.
• We ask that residents with insurance, however, please have your insurance card with you or make a copy for us when you come to the clinic.

• Aetna
• Atena Medicare
• Cigna
• Connecticare
• Connecticare Medicare
• Husky
• Medicare
• Children younger than 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent.

Other important steps you can take to fight the flu this season:

~ Wash your hands and when soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub.

~ Stay home if you are sick.

~ Take anti-viral drugs if your doctor prescribes them.
