Ex-Mayoral Candidate Steve Tracey Arrested On Drug Charges: Cops
East Haven bail bondsman Tracey was arrested in New Haven Friday. Police said he had more than 200 oxycodone pills. He posted $25,000 bail.

NEW HAVEN, CT — New Haven Police Capt. Anthony Duff confirmed for Patch that 'Big' Steve Tracey was arrested Friday on drug charges.
Duff said Tracey was charged with possession of a controlled substance, illegal obtaining of drugs and a motor vehicle violation. Duff said Tracey was released on a $25,000 bail bond and is due in a New Haven courtroom Feb. 13.
Duff said that New Haven Police officers pulled Tracey over at the intersection of Woodward Avenue just before Main Street. He said police found "over 200 oxycodone pills."

Tracey was arrested and transported to Union Avenue Detention Center and charged with:

Patch made repeated calls to his bail bonds business Friday but only reached his answering service.
A former East Haven district four Town Councilor, Tracey wrote about his other community and civic involvement during is 2019 mayoral campaign. A parishioner and volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Church, he was on the church's finance council and was its Bingo coordinator. He said he supports and volunteers with the East Haven Rotary and other charitable organizations including local law enforcement and firefighters.
Tracey is a former professional wrestler who it's reported once fought Hulk Hogan.
