Grand Reopening Of ETV On Nov. 19: 'It's More Than Just Cable Access'
East Haven Public Television, ETV, located at 230 Main St., is a "community media center for anyone looking for a creative outlet."

EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven Public Television, which goes by the call letters ETV has its grand reopening Nov. 19.
Settled into its new facilities at 230 Main St., the celebration is open to the public. East Haven Mayor Joseph A. Carfora, East Haven Chamber of Commerce members of the ETV board, staff, and guests will be on hand to meet and greet visitors in ETV’s new studio space. An open house will follow the ceremony from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., with beverages and light fare.
"We’re beyond excited to be building a community media center for anyone looking for a
creative outlet," said Jay Miles, ETV Board Chair. “At our new location, right on Main Street, we will have our doors open, with tours of the new studio and conversations about exciting digital media opportunities in our new facilities.”

In addition to traditional broadcasts of independent, town government, and educational
content, ETV is offering exciting new options, from free tech training workshops, to volunteer opportunities, to live-streamed meetings, and special events.
A series of free workshops will cover a variety of topics in media production, including podcasting, multi camera techniques, video editing, digitizing old footage, and more. These workshops are
open for current members of ETV.

“ETV has transformed into more than just a cable access station” Miles said. “We’re becoming a community media center, with a wide range of activities, services, training, and creative opportunities for the entire region.”
Members who complete free training sessions can schedule time to use the ETV digital
media equipment for podcast recording, video editing, green screen shoots, and more.
