Henry T. Mahon Sr. obituary: Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven

Henry T. Mahon Sr., 85 of East Haven passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026 at CT Hospice. He was born June 14th, 1940 in New Haven to Thomas and Madeline (Esposito) Mahon. Henry has been a resident of East Haven since 1966.
After graduating from Notre Dame High School, he worked with his father for the Yellow Cab for many years until he started working for US Surgical/Medtronics in North Haven for over 38 years until his Retirement in 2016.
Henry is survived by his two children Tammy Wilkins of East Haven and Edward Mahon Sr. (Kathleen) of East Haven, his brother David Mahon (Judy) of Branford, his sister in law, Maureen (Simowski) McLoughlin (Robert) of East Haven and a sister in law, Sue Mahon of Florida.

He has six Grandchildren he adored; Caitlin Bruce (Chance), Edward Mahon Jr., Timothy Wilkins, Aimee Mahon, Christine Mahon and Theresa Mahon, five great grandchildren; Arabella Mahon, Ali Ahmed Jr., Kiaree Bruce, Bailey Bruce and Chase Wilkins. He is also survived by nieces; Kimberly Fletcher (Jeff) and Sheri Mahon, his nephews; Josh Mahon (Alicia), Jesse Mahon, Jeff Mahon (Kasey), Robert Mahon (Patty). He has six Grandchildren he adored; Caitlin Bruce (Chance), Edward Mahon Jr., Timothy Wilkins, Aimee Mahon, Christine Mahon and Theresa Mahon.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jacquelyn (Simowski) Mahon (2009), son Henry T. Mahon Jr. (Hank)(2007), a brother Thomas Mahon (2015), sister Anna Mahon, nephew, Robert “RJ” McLoughlin (2022) and a grandson, Frederick Wilkins(2025)

Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday February 28, 2026 at 10:30 in St Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of Our Lady of Pompeii, 355 Foxon Rd. (Route 80) East Haven. Please go directly to the church. Henry’s Committal will follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
