His Morning Was Booked: East Haven's Mayor Read To School Kids
AKA 'Thing 1,' Mayor Carfora read "I Am Not Going To Get Up Today," by Dr. Seuss at elementary schools, part of Read Across America Day.
EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven Mayor Joe Carfora stopped by Momauguin, Tuttle and Ferrara schools Wednesday to read to kids as part of Read Across America Day.
A Dr. Seuss fan, Carfora wore his Thing 1 shirt and picked out a Seuss book to read to the children at Momauguin. He noted in a Facebook post that the kids are "always full of surprises and great questions."
