Hollywood Ending for East Haven High School Student With Cerebral Palsy

After getting into a basketball game and helping his team win, Dejon Knight, 16, was greeted to a heroes welcome.

An amazing and inspirational story out of East Haven involving East Haven High School.

Dejon Knight, 16, isn’t a member of the basketball team but he practices daily with them.

Knight, who has cerebral palsy, was told by the freshman basketball coach to suit up for a game last week.

Not only did Knight get in the game, he helped the team win with a basket, reports WFSB 3 TV.

The Hollywood ending included his teammates hoisting up on their shoulders after the victory and students in the stands gave Knight a heroes welcome, reports WFSB 3 TV.

Knight told WFSB 3 TV that he used to be bullied when he lived elsewhere but he has been welcomed with open arms in East Haven and at East Haven High School.
