How Many Catholic Churches are in East Haven?

A report and interactive map looks at how many Catholic churches are located in each community in Connecticut.

Trend CT, a Connecticut News Project publication, created an interesting interactive map showing how many Catholic churches are located in each Connecticut community.

The data explores which towns in Connecticut have the most Catholic churches based on population totals.

According to the report, 40 percent of Connecticut residents say they are Catholic and there are about 450 Catholic churches in the state.

Some highpoints from the report: Litchfield County has the most Catholic churches per capita, towns with older populations have more churches, and there are churches in almost every community in the state so you don’t have to drive too far, the report notes.
