Here's what East Haven police want parents/riders to know about electric scooters, e-bikes, motor driven-cycles and CT laws about their use.
EAST HAVEN, CT — So there's no mystery on what's what, East Haven police shared a graphic about e-bikes and motor-driven cycles and the laws governing their use.
"As e-bikes and motor-driven cycles continue to grow in popularity," police said, "it is important that riders and parents understand the laws designed to keep everyone safe."
"Parents play a critical role in making sure young riders understand where they can ride, helmet requirements, speed restrictions, and the responsibility that comes with operating these vehicles," police noted. "A quick conversation today can prevent a tragedy tomorrow."
