James Lyon obituary: Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven

James Lyon, 67 of East Haven passed away June 6, 2026 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born August 28, 1958 in New Haven to Louis Sr. and Carol (Adamczyk) Lyon. James is survived by his loving mother, Carol Lyon of East Haven, a brother, Donald Lyon (widow of Kathy) of East Haven and four nieces; Donna Denny (Kyle) of New Haven, Anna Proto of East Haven, Brianna Lyon (Dennis Marshall) of East Haven and Haley Denny of East Haven.

James is preceded in death by his father, brother, Louis Lyon Jr. and a nephew, Donald Lyon Jr.

Jim was a proud retiree of Carpenters Local Union 24. Beyond his trade, he was a true lover of music and the outdoors. He was happiest when sitting by a campfire, and enjoying the peace of nature. His kindness, steady presence, and love for life's simple pleasures will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday June 12, 2026 at 11 AM in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of Our Lady of Pompeii, 355 Foxon Road (Route80), East Haven with Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. All services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven CT.
