Joanne (Angelo) Tomaso, 80 of East Haven passed away April 8, 2025 at Whispering Pines with her family by her side. She was born December 31, 1944 in Milford CT to Joseph and Helen (Onofrio) Angelo. Joanne is survived by her son, Charles Tomaso (Lucy) of North Branford, five grandchildren; Richard Tomaso (Emily), Anthony Tomaso (Erica), Jaclyn Mingione (Seth), Marisa Tomaso and Christian Tomaso along with three great grandchildren. Joanne is also survived by her siblings; Thomas Angelo (Connie) of East Haven, Patricia Angelo (Charlie Richards) of Old Saybrook, Charlene Armellino (Domenic) of East Haven with who Joanne resided with over the last five years and Charles Angelo (Linda) of Guilford and many nieces/nephews.
Joanne is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Tomaso and a son, Richard Tomaso Jr.
During her younger years, Joanne was a very outgoing and an active lady. She enjoyed going to the casino, spending time with her family and playing cards. She owned and operated her own cleaning business.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday April 15, 2025 from 9 to 11:30 AM in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Her funeral procession will then leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM (NOON) in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Bernadette, 385 Townsend Ave., New Haven CT with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven.
