Joseph Morgillo obituary: Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven

Joseph Morgillo 62 of East Haven passed away July 27, 2025 at home with his wife and family by his side. He was born November 10, 1962 in New Haven to the late Joseph Morgillo and Elaine “Chicky” (Delmonico). Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Diane Lopez-Morgillo and children; Kristen Morgillo (Chris), Joey Morgillo, Billy Longley (Jen), Anthony Morgillo (Dani), Sean Morgillo, Dylan Holt (Sera Amato) and Meredith Devaney-Wagner (Greg) along with numerous grandchildren. Joseph is also survived by his bonus mom, Dorothy (Klotzberger) Morgillo of East Haven and siblings; Lisa Barker (Bill), Dotty (Lane) Owens (Mark), Joanne DeVoe; niece, Michele Barker and three nephews; Zackery Barker, Mark Owens and Daniel DeVoe.
Joe loved his family unconditionally. He was a simple man, loving just to spend afternoons with the ones he loved. Joe loved his motorcycle and the extended family members he was gifted through riding. He was happiest with his family both related and non related. He loved traveling, joking he always had a suitcase packed and would follow his wife to whatever destination was chosen, be that Mexico, any island, or camping with friends. Joe loved driving a truck for a living, frequently expressing how he missed driving and working when he retired. Joe had a huge heart with a rugged exterior. He loved strongly, joked easily, complimented freely. His strength and grounding is missed already.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM on Friday August 1, 2025 in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. A funeral service will be held on Saturday August 2 at 10 AM in Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home followed by burial at Branford Center Cemetery, Branford CT.
