Here we go. After reading Mayor Joseph Maturo’s rebuttal to Democratic Town Council Chair, Marc Conti you would think we have the 2nd coming of Christ sitting at 250 Main Street. Lets go point by point on Mayor Maturo’s statement.
”Marc Conte's calls for my resignation and for me to pay legal fees in connection with the Town's recent settlement of Mrs. Carbone's federal and state cases has nothing to do with what is right, what is just, or what is in the best interests of the Town of East Haven.”
Marc Conti isn’t playing politics, he’s doing his job as the leader of the Democratic Party by calling for Maturo’s resignation. I’m sure if it were the other way around Parente would be praised by Maturo. It’s too bad that we don’t have someone from the Republican Party to stand up and say that Maturo should resign. All over town we keep hearing that Big Steve Tracey is going to primary Maturo but he is just as silent just like all the rest of the Republicans. That’s not leadership at all it’s called circle around the wagon! We call it cowardice!

Marc Conti should be looked as man with integrity and honor. It wasn’t he who made comments about the weight of Carbone’s breasts or commented on the buoyancy of Roxanne Melillo breasts for that matter. Joe Maturo just doesn’t get it because he’s a good old boy. Maturo believes that women are subservient and are inferior and should be treated like toys and objects for his own pleasure. Maturo should face the facts that his settlement is an indirect admission. He tells us he was trying to avoid embarrassment of others. Please Mr. Maturo you were trying to avoid having everyone hear you are that you walk among the Matt Lauler’s of the world and you were trying to save yourself. You have always been about yourself and to prove it just last month you tried to pad your own retirement. Maturo you are full of crap!

Oh really Mayor Maturo? What would your political enemies say about this statement? Permits denied, zoning ignored, people disciplined for sexual harassment returned to prior status as if nothing happened. Or how about how many times you fired Republican Town Committee Chair Robert Parente? Do you hear yourself? Do you think we believe you? Or are you such a narcissist that you truly believe you really are the 2nd coming of Christ? Oh thank you Mayor for having us pay $175,000 and life time benefits can I have another? What joke you are to think you can belittle the taxpayers of the Town of East Haven by trying to manipulate facts to try to make it seem as if you are the victim! You know who is repugnant? You are Mayor Joe.
I am sickened and can not continue to evaluate his quotes. The Mayor of East Haven is an arrogant narcissist who is simply out of touch with reality. Mayor Maturo you have embarrassed our Town once again! First it was national with your Taco comment and now it’s this. RESIGN!!!! Not next week but NOW!
