Juvenile Bicyclist Seriously Injured In East Haven Accident
Police said a bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle late Monday night.

EAST HAVEN, CT — A juvenile bicyclist was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured in East Haven late Monday night, according to police.
The accident occurred at 11:56 p.m. at the intersection of Hemingway Avenue and Tyler Street.
Police arrived at the scene of the accident and found a juvenile in the road with serious injuries.

Firefighters provided immediate aid, and an ambulance took the juvenile to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The driver remained at the scene of the accident and is cooperating with police. No one has been charged with any crime.

The South-Central Connecticut Traffic Unit is leading the investigation.
"We are urging anyone who lives in the area of Hemingway Avenue and Tyler Street or who may have been traveling through the vicinity of Hemingway Avenue and Tyler Street between 11:30 p.m. and midnight to check their home surveillance, doorbell cameras, or vehicle dashcams for any relevant footage that may assist with this investigation," police said in a statement.
