Keep The Wheels Turning: Trolley Museum Hosts Volunteer Open House
The Shore Line Trolley Line Museum, the oldest continuously running suburban trolley line in the U.S., holds the event Nov. 5 from 10-2.
EAST HAVEN, CT —Did you know The Shore Line Trolley Line Museum is the oldest continuously running suburban trolley line in the United States?
Nestled in a quaint neighborhood in East Haven, the trolley line runs through the salt marshes to Short Beach in Branford.
The Short Line Trolley Museum could not function without volunteers to keep the wheels turning. Volunteering is essential to maintain the museum and its trolleys. The museum has served the community for over 70 years, providing immersive educational experiences on the
history of transportation and how electricity and electric cars helped shape our nation’s industry,
cities and suburbs during the last century.
