UPDATE: KeyBank Robbed Thursday Morning, Suspect Arrested
Police found Michael Jensen in his Edward Street backyard with 'a large denomination of cash.' A man Jensen 'held the door for' ID'd him.

EAST HAVEN, CT — KeyBank on Main Street in East Haven was robbed this morning. Police said that just after 9 a.m., a white man dressed in all black came into the bank and passed a teller a note demanding money and then took off. Police said he did not show a weapon. Police said they immediately put out a description of the suspect, which they said matched a man they were already looking for who had an warrant for his arrest.
Police went to the Edward Street home of Michael Jensen, 53, and surrounded the house and found Jensen in the back yard with "a large denomination of cash."
Police said they talked to witnesses and learned that Jensen ran through yards back toward his house, and, "appeared to be hiding behind a shed once he heard police sirens approaching." Police said another witness, who Jensen apparently "held the door for as he was fleeing the bank, positively identified him as being the bank robbery suspect."

A Connecticut State Police K-9 officer tracked Jensen's route after, police say he committed the robbery and, "as a result, key evidence was found in a trash receptacle linking Jensen to the robbery. "
Jensen was arrested, taken to the East Haven Police Department, booked and charged with second-degree robbery, fifth-degree larceny, and resisting arrest. He's being held on a $150,000 bond and due in court Feb. 11 in New Haven.
