Locals Warned To Avoid Palmetto Trail Due To Police Investigation

EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven Police are warning locals to avoid Palmetto Trail and surrounding streets while they investigate an "isolated issue" at a home, the department said in a news release.

Authorities received a report of an unknown suspicious device contained in a residence, police said, adding that they have evacuated area homes as a precaution.

No injuries have been reported and "there is no threat to the public," the department said.
