Man Charged With Arson For Setting His Truck On Fire: Cops

Police say when Steven Dorso of East Haven was told he could not trade in his truck, he torched it in a Watertown dealership parking lot.

EAST HAVEN, CT — Steven Dorso of East Haven is facing second-degree arson charges for setting his truck ablaze after a car dealership declined to take it as a trade-in, according to reports and court documents.

The Republican American reported that police say Dorso, 48, due in a Waterbury court Thursday morning, set his truck on fire last summer at the Buick GMC of Watertown.

The paper reported that Dorso had tried to trade in a 2018 GMC Sierra in July 2019, "but he owed more for the Sierra than it was worth," according to his arrest warrant.
