UPDATE: East Haven Police Plan Press Conference on Double Shooting Deaths
Police discovered the bodies when they went to the home to conduct a welfare check.

East Haven police say they plan to hold a press conference Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 10:00 am at East Haven Police Headquarters regarding the double shooting deaths.
“We are still awaiting confirmation on the identities of the deceased from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Additional information will be provided at the press conference,” said Police spokesman Lt. David Emerman.

Original post: East Haven police are investigating the death of a male and a female who were found dead inside a Foxon Boulevard house Monday night.
Police said at 9:34 pm, police were approached by a male who indicated that he was concerned for a relative he was unable to make contact with.

Officers arrived at the residence located on Foxon Boulevard and attempted to make contact. Officers located one male and one female within the residence.
Both occupants sustained injuries from apparent gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene by East Haven Fire Department personnel, police said.
At this time it appears to be an isolated incident and there is no need for residents to be concerned, police said.
The identities of the deceased are being withheld until notification of immediate family members.
The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the East Haven Detective Division with the assistance of the Connecticut State Police Major Crime Unit. If anyone has information regarding this incident please contact the East Haven Police Detective Division at 203-468-3820.
