Marching Band Wins 3rd Consecutive State Title!

EHHS Co-op Marching Band remains undefeated for third straight year.

On Saturday, October 26th, the EHHS Co-op Marching Band traveled to Stamford High School to compete in the USBands New England State Championships. The Co-op's 2019 field show, entitled In Ashes Ending, depicts a modern day Pompeii, including the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, an effect that has been a crowd favorite all season! The band members have worked tirelessly since August with drive and determination, entering states undefeated for three years running.

The EHHS Co-op Marching Band won First Place for Group IIA, and received all five caption awards, including Best Music, Best Visual, Best Overall Effect, Best Color Guard, and Best Percussion. Captions are awarded to the band who receives the highest overall scores in each category. With this big win, the Co-op received the titles of Connecticut and New England State Champions for the third consecutive year. Additionally, the Co-op received the highest score of all 20 bands in competition!

Next Saturday, the Co-op will travel to Allentown, Pennsylvania, to compete in the USBands National Championship.
