Mayor, Council & Boards' Inauguration On For Nov. 16

The inauguration will be at East Haven High School Saturday Nov. 16 at 11 a.m., with a meet-and-greet in the schools' rotunda following.

EAST HAVEN, CT — Mayor-elect Joseph A. Carfora named Noreen Clough to lead the 2019 Inaugural Committee, according to a press release. The inauguration ceremony for Mayor, Town Clerk, Town Council, Board of Finance, and the Board of Education is set for Saturday Nov. 16 at a.m., in the East Haven High School auditorium.

Clough is a lifelong resident of East Haven, a 1984 Graduate of Quinnipiac College with BS Computers/Accounting 1984; she is a member of the East Haven Board of Finance, serving eight terms and was recently elected to ninth term. Noreen is also the president-elect of the East Haven Fall Festival where she has served as an executive committee member and treasurer.

Noreen is the daughter of the late John T. “Jack” Brereton, who served East Haven in many capacities, including East Haven Town Clerk from 1975 through 1985.

"Noreen is a wonderful person and a dedicated public servant. She is a friend, and I want to thank her for accepting. The Inauguration of our candidates is a special day and I can think of no one more qualified than Noreen to organize this event," Carfora said.

The inauguration is open to the public. A greet and meet will take place immediately after the ceremony in the high school rotunda.
