Mayor Opens Playgrounds, Skate Park, & Tennis Courts
But basketball courts remain closed per local health department recommendations, Mayor Joe Carfora said, reminding folks to be safe.

EAST HAVEN, CT — No more yellow caution tape around playgrounds. Grab a swing and take a ride on a slide.
Friday, Mayor Joe Carfora opened East Haven's playgrounds, its skate park and tennis courts. Basketball courts were not permitted to open, he said, per East Shore District Health recommendations.
"We know it’s important to have open spaces outdoors for children," Carfora said in a news release. "Staying active in fresh air is great for stress and staying healthy for all ages."
