Mold Concerns Renewed at East Haven School

Parents say they weren't informed of the recent incident.

New concerns about mold at DC Moore School have resurfaced, the New Haven Register reports.

A week before students reported back to school, the school’s air conditioning units failed, which led to mold in the building.

The air conditioning situation has been fixed, but parents say they weren’t notified, the Register reports.

Superintendent of Schools Portia Bonner told the Register that the situation is under control and because the issue occurred when the building was empty officials didn’t notify parents. Bonner said if students were in the school, parents would have been informed.

Mold concerns were also raised during the last school year.
