Moriarty, Rascati, Woolley: Recent Death Notices From East Haven

EAST HAVEN, CT — Recent death notices from East Haven.

Carmelina "Cookie" Perrelli Rascati, 82, of East Haven, died Sept. 3, 2026. She worked for more than 30 years as administrative assistant to the president of Watson Foods. She is survived by three children, a sister, a brother and eight grandchildren.

Kurt T. Woolley, 62, died Sept. 2, 2026. A 1982 graduate of East Haven High School, he enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Jets. He is survived by his mother, a son and two sisters.

Neil Moriarty, 76, of East Haven, died Sept. 4, 2026, after a long illness. A retired New Haven firefighter with more than 26 years of service, he later drove school buses in the area. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, a daughter, a stepdaughter and four grandchildren.

Sandra "Sandy" Gail Galina Derbacher, 74, died Sept. 1, 2026. She worked as a hairdresser, in food service, as a security guard at East Haven High School and, most recently, as a certified pharmacy technician at Walgreens in East Haven. For 31 years she was a devoted fan of East Haven varsity hockey. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, two daughters and two granddaughters.
