Nearly 12 East Haven Employees Suspended Without Pay: Report
Town officials allege the employees failed to show up to plow town roads during last week's snowstorm. Union officials dispute that claim.

EAST HAVEN, CT — Nearly a dozen East Haven Department of Public Works employees have been suspended without pay after Mayor Joseph Maturo alleges they did not show up to plow snow-covered roads last week, reports WTNH's Mario Boone.
But the union claims that Maturo sent the employees home in an effort to reduce overtime costs and once town leaders asked them to come back to work it was impossible due to the treacherous road conditions, Boone reports.
The union will seek to reverse the suspensions and get the employees docked money back.
