In addition to brokering the sale, The Geenty Group, Realtors, worked closely with East Haven Economic Development Director Sal Brancati to help Augliera acquire an additional adjacent seven-acre lot from the Town. In exchange, East Haven adds 35-50 new jobs as well as $62,000 in tax revenue.
This transaction was greatly facilitated by the advocacy and speedy action by Mr. Brancati, the Zullo & Jacks Law Firm (the town’s attorney), the Planning & Zoning Commission, and other municipal employees which went above and beyond expectation, Geenty officials said.
The company plans to build an additional 70,000 SF on the property for a total of 120,000 SF, which will provide climate-controlled storage for theatrical sets and costumes, in addition to office operations and secure moving storage.
