New Haven Robbers Hit Victim in Head With Brick

The man was robbed of his cell phones and keys, police said.

A New Haven robbery victim told police he was hit in the head with a brick before two men made off with his cell phones and keys.

The incident happened on Maltby Street Nov. 22 around 4:10 a.m., said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.

The man was going to enter his home when he was confronted by two men. They attacked him from behind and struck him in the head with a brick.

They left with his two white Samsung cell phones and his keys.

The victim’s injuries weren’t too serious, Hartman said. The victim couldn’t describe the perpetrators well. They are wanted for conspiring to commit first-degree robbery and second-degree assault.
