East Haven School Band Needs Extra Funds
The co-op marching band needs over $9,000 to cover expenses.

An East Haven marching band is trying to raise money to cover expenses the school can’t provide.
An article in the New Haven Register reported that parents of members of the East Haven High School Co-op Marching Band have reached out to businesses and groups in the area for the extra funding necessary for new raincoats, musical instruments and other equipment.
Band director Matthew Laudano said music department funding has to take care of several classes, including marching band, jazz band, guitar, choir and symphonic band.

Kim Adinolfi, co-president of the school’s Yellow Jackets Marching Band Booster Club, told the Register that, despite car washes, bucket drops and pasta-dinner fundraisers, they have only raised $3,350, far short of the $9,268 they need.
The co-op band combines students from East Haven and North Branford.
