No Joke: 'Hoax Fest' Toasts Hoax Brewing Co. 4-Year Anniversary

EAST HAVEN, CT —Hoax Brewing Company is celebrating its fourth anniversary with myriad events over four days this month.

With a special, brewery-only, small batch beer releases, a Hoax Beer Dinner Pre-Party - six beers, and four courses by Chef Josh of Bank & Bridge - a Mario Kart tournament, ‘Emo Night CT,’ a day-long music festival, and an artisan and craft bazaar, there’s a lot to celebrate.

Held at The Beeracks, 250 Bradley St., in East Haven, the party begins March 24 and runs through March 27.

The music fest and Sunday vendor fair are free. The Beer Dinner is $80 a seat, Mario Kart tourney is $10 and admission to ‘Emo Night CT,’ is $10.

What to know and who’ll be there

• Mario Kart Tournament on Projector is a Bracket Style Tournament with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes.
• Emo Night CT, from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., will feature a DJ and live bands Scooped Up, Mighty Tortuga, and Say What You Will start the night beginning at 6:30 p.m.
• The free Saturday March 26 music fest runs from 1 p.m. until midnight and includes food by Chef Rob and artists including Tim Palmieri of Lotus and Kung Fu (solo set), Old Self, LT Headtrip, Sotolish, Snowpiler, Peasant, American Thrills, Rusty Things, and When the Deadbolt Breaks.
• The free Vendor Fair Bazaar on Sunday March 27 from noon to 7 p.m., will include Smash Burgers by Hoax Canteen and vendors including Chef Razzi – Culinary Creations, Rummy Nation – Beef Jerky, Scarlet Child – Prints, Purses, Blankets , Drunk Alpaca – Snacks, A Couple 2 Tree – Handmade woodworking art, Elm City Sounds – Records, Queerly Departed – Pins, patches, stickers, merchandise, Mo Piklz – Artisan Pickles and merchandise, Terpmiser – hand blown glass and live glass blowing, Byzantine Brat Aromatics – Soaps and scents, Emo Night CT – merchandise, Candle Witch – Handmade candles, Stabby Mcgoo – Art, pins, stickers, T-shirts and tons more.
