No Mold Detected at DC Moore Elementary School

Staff at the school filed a grievance which led to the inspection.

In November the staff at DC Moore Elementary School filed a grievance over the air quality in the school.

This week school officials told the New Haven Register that no mold was detected inside the building.

It’s unclear when the inspection took place, the Register reports. DC Moore was the only school inspected by the East Shore District Health Department.

The school has a long history of environmental issues, and it’s one of the reasons why school officials are considering closing it as part of a consolidation plan. The school consolidation plan is still pending and no action has been taken.
