North Haven, New Haven Police Unions Endorse Republican Cicarella
The Connecticut State Police Union, its FOP and the Police Officer's Association of Connecticut have all endorsed the GOP candidate.

Submitted by Republican Paul Cicarella, who is running to represent the 34th district including the towns of East Haven, North Haven, Durham and Wallingford.
State Senate candidate Paul Cicarella has earned multiple public safety endorsements this month including support from the North Haven Police Union, Connecticut State Fraternal Order of Police and the New Haven Police Union. These endorsements follow previous public safety endorsements from the Police Officer’s Association of Connecticut and the Connecticut State Police Union.
“I deeply appreciate the strong support I have received from Connecticut's law enforcement community," said Cicarella. “As a father, youth sports coach, and former corrections officer, I feel very strongly that public safety needs to be a priority, along with jobs, education and health care. Building communities where both the public and our law enforcement officers are safe and protected is an important step in giving all people, especially our children, opportunities to succeed. As a state senator, I will work hard to make sure public safety is a top priority and bring all voices and perspectives together so Connecticut can be a safer place for all people."
Sgt. John Krupinsky, the president of the Connecticut Fraternal Order of Police wrote in support of the candidate: "There is no question in our mind that you will support law enforcement and keep the people of your district safe at a time when law and order has never been so important. I urge all citizens living in your Senate District to join us in voting for you and keep your communities safe."
And Jason R. Janosko, president of the North Haven Police Union, said that Cicarella's "background as a corrections officer and private investigator" inform the union's position that he will, "serve the communities of North Haven, East Haven, Wallingford and Durham with public
safety as a top priority."
Janosko said the union "trusts" retiring state Sen. Len Fasano's endorsement of Cicarella.
