Not So Fast Joe Maturo

What has gone wrong with this settlement?

Not So Fast Joe Maturo

So Joe you thought this was in the past. Your smirk was from ear to ear on September 12th when you told little Joey to do what you had to do to settle the SEXUAL HARASSMENT case against you. You spent tax payer dollars to pay off your perverted actions. If only Deborah Ramierz, the 2nd woman to accuse Brett Kavanaugh story had come out just when your trial was about to start maybe there would have been no settlement! She made claims that Brett Kavanaugh exposed his penis to her. Just like Maturo was accused of exposing his penis to Francine Carbone. While Kavanugh’s issue was vacated and he went on the Supreme Court you thought your life would go on as normal. Well that may not be the case. Connecticut Superior Court Records show that the agreement between Carbone and Maturo is at an impasse and new court date of November 9, 2018 has been set. What has gone wrong with this settlement?

Just about a week ago rumors were circulating around Town that Maturo team was insisting that the case be changed from a SEXUAL HARASSMENT case to a disgruntled employee case. That language means so much because it changes the narrative to just another employer/employee disagreement that ended in a monetary settlement. The stigma of a SEXUAL HARASSMENT settlement would cloud over Maturo in his remaining months as Mayor. It would cripple him from seeking re-election and probably hand over the Town to the Democrats. This case needs to be not settled and brought before the public to expose Joe Maturo for who he really is. This cannot be another Kavanagh case where the politically connected and powerful get away from being held accountable for their actions.

It’s been weeks since this case was settled and there was a lot of focus and pressure for Maturo to resign. He showed his arrogance and ignorance by saying he did nothing wrong. He refused to resign and not one person on the Town Council demanded his resignation. The Town Council were all were cowards by not forcing the issue to make Maturo resign. Lets hope that Judge Robert E. Young can see right through all of the legal wrangling that Maturo’s team will try to do to avoid the real crux of the case and keep the spirit of this case about SEXUAL HARASSMENT. The best possible outcome is the case goes right to trial and Joe Maturo has to publicly answer the questions under oath. It’s time to hold Maturo and his Administration accountable to their lack of enforcement of SEXUAL HARASSMENT laws!
