Obituary: Alice Kuziel, 88, formerly of East Haven

Alice, who served on the East Haven Board of Education, enjoyed crocheting, and was an avid reader. Her true love was her husband, Edward.

Alice (Dudek) Kuziel, 88, of Wallingford, formerly of East Haven passed away January 10, 2021 at Masonicare. She was born May 28, 1932 in New Haven to Matway and Lena (Sienkiewicz) Dudek. Alice is survived by her three sons, Raymond Kuziel of New Haven, Matthew Kuziel (Karen) of Cheshire, and Paul Kuziel (Suzanne) of East Haven, along with four grandchildren, Cyndi Crist (William), Raymond DeRosa, Alex Kuziel, Abigail Kuziel and a great grandchild Carter Crist. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Kuziel (2019) and seven siblings, Mitchell Dudek, George Dudek, Alexander Dudek, Frances Collins, Mary Siwinski, Annetta D’Errico and Stella Renda.

Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member of the Seven Day Adventist Church and formerly served on the East Haven Board of Education. She had a love of crocheting and making animals for all of her grandchildren. Alice was an avid reader and loved any kind of crafts. Her true love was her husband, Edward.

Her family would like to thank everyone at Masonic Health Center, Ramage 5, and especially her caring roommate, Sue Centmehaiey.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 9 A.M. until the time of service at 11 a.m. in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven with burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven.
