Obituary: Alice M. DeSenti, 94, of East Haven

Alice M. DeSenti, 94, of East Haven, passed away peacefully at the Guilford House on Sunday, August 15, 2021. She was the wife of the late Samuel W. DeSenti, Jr. She was born in New Haven on May 20, 1927 to the late August W. and Mary Naughton Tietjen. She leaves three sons, Salvatore (Janet) Barese of New Haven, Anthony (Debra) Sorrentino of East Haven and Joseph DeSenti of New Haven, a daughter Debra (Matthew) Benevento of East Haven and a sister Joan Piscitelli of East Haven. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by a son Samuel W. DeSenti, III, a brother, William Tietjen and five sisters, Mildred Clark, Dorothy Caswell, Mary Shrugrue, Veronica Cicarelli and Helen Dziamalek.

Funeral will leave the East Haven Memorial Longobardi – Brennan Funeral Home, 425 Main St., East Haven, 203-467-1708 Friday morning at 12:00 noon for a Mass of Christian Burial in the Parish of St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at St. Vincent dePaul Church at 12:30 pm. Burial to follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the mass from 10:30 to 12:00 pm.
