Obituary: Anthony “Yorkie” Duro, 94, of East Haven
He was a US Army veteran and retired employee of 30 years from AVCO Lycoming.

Anthony “Yorkie” Duro 94 of East Haven passed away December 5, 2017. He was born January 22, 1923 in New Haven to John and Regina (Pietrus) Duro. Anthony is survived by his loving son, Joseph Duro (companion, Deena Panasci) of East Haven, along with a grandson, Joseph Duro (Julie) and one great grandson, Cameron Duro.
He is also survived by two sisters, Marie Hachett and Helen Shields. Anthony is preceded in death by his parents, wife Marie (Santagata) Duro (2013), son, John Duro, step-son, Donald Grigley, sisters, Rose Romanik, Josephine Levis and Nellie Herpok and a brother, Joseph Dural. Yorkie was an avid NY Yankee fan who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a US Army veteran and retired employee of 30 years from AVCO Lycoming. Family will receive friends from 9 – 10:30 AM on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Clancy-Palumbo (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home on Monday at 10:40 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Clare Catholic Church, 234 Coe Ave., East Haven with Committal to follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford.
