Obituary: Audrey Mealia, 89, of East Haven, formerly Fair Haven

Audrey Mealia 89 of East Haven, formerly of Fair Haven passed away on November 22, 2021 at Masonicare in Wallingford. Audrey was the daughter of Vincent T. Mealia and Helen (Flanagan) Mealia St. Clair. She is preceded in death by her parents and special cousin, Maureen Osiecki. Audrey is survived by the Carr, Curren, Flanagan and Kilbride/Grady cousins.

She graduated from St. Francis grammar and Hillhouse High Schools, The Hospital of St. Raphael and Boston University Schools of Nursing. Audrey was employed as a nurse clinician in the Boston area for over 20 years. She had a similar position at the Wallingford Visiting Nurses prior to retirement. Audrey was an alumnus of the Schools of Nursing and a member of the Irish American Community Center.

A Boston-based nurse clinician for over 20 years, she was a Wallingford Visiting Nurse, and was a member of the Irish American Community Center.

Services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven. Burial will be private at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in New Haven with a Celebration of Life to be held at a future date.
