Obituary: Barbara (Thomas) Roberts, 88, of East Haven

Barbara (Thomas) Roberts, 88, of East Haven passed away August 7, 2022 at St. Raphael’s Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born October 22, 1933 in Akron, Ohio to Donald Sr. and Margaret (Kelsey) Thomas. Barbara is survived by her loving children; Carol DeSena (Joseph) of Northford, Pauline Suitor (Alan Sr.) of East Haven and William “Billy” Roberts (Michelle) of East Haven along with six grandchildren, Joseph DeSena, Christopher DeSena, Alan “AJ” Suitor, Rebecca Cesario (Christopher), Amber Roberts-May (Reed Jr.) and Megan Roberts. She is also survived by her six great grandchildren and two brothers, Donald Thomas Jr. (Peggy) of East Haven and Gregory Thomas (BJ) of Guilford.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, husband, William “Bill” Roberts (2013) and a sister, Marion Butler Cote.

Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a memorial service on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11 A.M. in the Old Stone Church, 251 Main Street, East Haven. Burial will be private and under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Donations may be made to the Old Stone Church Steeple Fund at 251 Main Street, East Haven CT 06512 in memory of Barbara Roberts.
