Obituary: Carl Anania Jr. 91, of East Haven
Prior to his retirement Carl was the owner and operator of Standard Upholstery Company. Carl served his country faithfully in the Army.

Carl Anania Jr. 91, of East Haven beloved husband of the late Josephine D'Amato Anania passed away on October 21, 2018 at his home. Loving father of Diane (Joseph) Castellano of Guilford and Richard (Mary) Anania of East Haven. Grandfather of Melissa (Michael) Silverman, Jennifer (Vincent) Federico, Anthony (Kate) Castellano, Alicia (fiance Brandon Nelson) Anania, Krista Anania, Sarah Castellano and Carla Anania. Also survived by 6 great grandchildren. Brother of Dorothy (Darl) Cross of FL and the late Annette Scalia and Susan Coppola. Carl was born in New Haven on May 15, 1927 son of the late Carl and Anna Cervero Anania Sr. Prior to his retirement Carl was the owner and operator of Standard Upholstery Company. Carl served his country faithfully in the Army during WW II.
His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven THURSDAY morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
